You'll find plenty of places to eat near the hotel, including the places at the mall next door (California Pizza Kitchen, Cheesecake Factory, the Food Court). If you're looking for something more, try one of these locally owned restaurants:
All Star Sandwich Bar, 1245 Cambridge Street, Inman Square, Cambridge: There are lots of places to dine in Inman Square, but this sandwich shop has a unique menu and pretty darn good food.
Midwest Grill, 1124 Cambridge Street, Inman Square, Cambridge: Do you like meat? Do you like it served tableside on swords? Do you like to eat yourself into a stupor? Then this Brazilian Barbecue is for you!
Evoo, 118 Beacon Street, Somerville: This is our favorite place for a special night out. Part of the slow food movement, Evoo uses fresh, local ingredients and interesting flavor combinations to create truly amazing food. Besides that, the staff are incredibly friendly. It's an expensive meal, but well worth it! Reservations recommended.
The North End, Boston: This is an entire neighborhood of Italian delights. Our favorite is Euno (119 Salem Street), with its exposed brick and cozy basement (reservations recommended). For dessert, skip overly-touristy Mike's and head for Modern Pastry (257 Hanover Street).
The Barking Crab, Fort Point Landing, 88 Sleeper Street, Boston: There are many fine fish restaurants in Boston (including the ubiquitous Legal Sea Foods and tasty Skipjack's), but the Barking Crab boasts a laid back atmosphere in a unique harborside location, within walking distance of another Boston favorite, the ICA.
