Jessica and I have been friends since sixth grade. Every weekend in junior high and high school, you'd find us in Ft. Mill atop our favorite Tennessee Walkers, Alabama and Shaker, racing each other through Mrs. Close's peach orchards. To this day, my parents consider her their "other daughter", especially since she and my Dad both share a wicked sense of humor. Jess and I also shared an extraordinary road trip through New Zealand in 2000.I served as Jessica's Maid of Honor when she married Drew five years ago. Their wedding was the most gloriously spiritual, beautiful ceremony I've ever witnessed. Because they now reside in Palm Beach, Florida, we don't get to see each other as often as we'd like. However, I continue to be inspired by Jessica's generosity, warmth, and spirituality.
UPDATE: Happily, Jessica and Drew are expecting their first child in late November. While this makes travel to Boston that month impossible, we know they'll be with us in spirit!
